Clouds Stock Footage
I woke up in a motel in Mexicali under a cloud on the night of the Day of the Dead, hungover from footage of the sun and finally alone. I looked out the cracked window at a background graveyard parade of grievers, ghosts and chicken bones... and gorgeous food that the loved ones brought to party with the dead now gone. Made me hungry. But the cafe's were cleaned out and I coudn't get in to any cemetary celebrations. So I watched a video of cloud footage on the old black & white and waited out the cloud less night eager for the new day's revelations.
By the time dawn came, I was ravenous for huevos rancheros and big booming clouds in a sky ripe with rain. I wanted colors in the air above, I wanted options and fluff and white puffs. I wanted the sun filtered through pink and gold mist, cloud less blue skies just weren't enough.
So I set on a journey out of that place, eyes always cast up... looking for beauty and hope and visions unallowed. Looking, simply, for clouds.
