Water and Ocean Stock Footage
On a hot desert night as a full moon poured light on bleached silver sand, I searched for water and ocean stock footage. I thought it was all in vain. In two years time, I hadn't seen even a single frame of rain.
Maybe it was time to look somewhere elsewhere for wet footage but I loved the light here as it fractured off cactus while stars upped their wattage. So I decided to cast a spell. I took three water stones, a Joshua tree root and half a dozen grains of sand then I laid them in a dry water bed. I chanted a wet prayer full of mist and hope then the earth, craving damp, and the heavens conspired to give it its due. The sky opened up, the stars split in two and enough water and ocean stock footage - rolling, falling, white-capped and still - rained down for me and you.
