Each NTSC DVD-ROM contains the clips in two formats:
QuickTime D1: 720x486 29.97fps progressive.
AVI-DV: 720x480 29.97fps progressive.
The professional broadcast quality standard for North America and Japan.
If your production is to be shown on a television in North America or Japan choose this format.
PAL.
Each PAL DVD-ROM contains the clips in two formats:
QuickTime D1: 720x576 25fps progressive.
AVI-DV: 720x576 25fps progressive.
The professional broadcast quality standard for Europe, Asia, Australia and South America.
If your production is to be shown on a television outside of North America and Japan choose this format.
HD (HDEF).

High Definition TV is the new digital wide screen television format designed to replace current NTSC and PAL analog systems. If you're looking for superior picture quality and your production is to be shown in America, Japan or Europe on HDTV choose this format.
All our HD stock footage is either 24p or 30p (see individual clip page for details).
Multimedia.
For complete compatibility with your software application, all our Multimedia discs contain the clips in three formats:
WMV 640 x 480 15fps (fully optimized for use in PowerPoint).
QuickTime Photo JPEG 320 x 240 15fps.
MPEG1 320 x 240 30fps.
